I guess you saw the Madagascar movie, I can assure you there is no hippo from Madagascar 🙂

Madagascar is an island located in the south east of the African continent.
The capital of Madagascar is Antananarivo. The population is called Malagasy, I am one of them. And the official language is : Malagasy too (though each tribe has its own dialect).
The weather varies upon where you are : in the Central East, it is often wet, while in the Deep South it is mainly dry.
Most of the places in Madagascar are safe except a few where there are thieves, called « dahalo ».

If you are planning a trip to Madagascar, I advise you to contact a Tour guide. There are some great resorts to spend your vacation in.
The main religion is Christianity.
Madagascar’s beaches are quite famous and you don’t have to worry, there are hotels almost near them.
Madagascar’s time is GMT+3 (no summer time adjustment needed).
The currency is the Ariary.
Madagascar is mainly known for its unique fauna and flora.
